Maitland is a suburban city in Orange County, Florida, United States, part of the Greater Orlando area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12,019 people, 4,825 households, and 3,242 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,589.1 inhabitants per square mile (1,000.1/km²).
